WHAT IS BEE FREE WRAP MADE OF?
Bee's Wrap is made from GOTS certified organic cotton (Global Organic Textile Standard), natural beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and pine resin. This combination of ingredients creates the most eco-responsible food packaging in its category, pliable and with natural antibacterial properties, the wrap can be reused again and again.
WHAT CAN I WRAP?
Use the warmth of your hands to wrap food, a bowl, a plate, a dish, etc. When the Bee's Wrap cools – in less than a second – it maintains its seal. Use your BEE FREE to wrap/store cheese, vegetables, bread, fruits, fresh herbs, pastries, and much more. Bee's Wrap is not recommended for raw meat.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BEE'S WRAP?
Wash your BEE FREE in cold water with a mild dish soap. (Avoid heat sources, such as hot water and microwaves.) Air dry after each wash, fold, and store neatly to extend the life of your wrap. Beeswax and jojoba oil have antibacterial properties that help keep your food fresh longer.
CAN I USE BEE'S WRAP IN THE FREEZER?
Yes, BEE FREE keeps food fresh in the freezer for 2 to 3 weeks. Our wraps are naturally breathable, so we recommend checking the freshness of your food after this period. Ideal for freezing pizza dough, bread, and pastries.
WHAT IS THE LIFESPAN OF BEE'S WRAP?
BEE FREE lasts up to one year with regular use and proper care. You will know your wrap has reached the end of its life when it becomes thin, soft, and has difficulty sticking to itself. At that point, you can cut your wrap into strips and add it to your compost pile, or use it as a natural fire starter.
DOES BEE'S WRAP HAVE AN ODOR AND TASTE?
When you first open your pack of BEE FREE, you will smell the natural beeswax. The scent completely fades after the first few uses and washes. The beeswax scent varies depending on the season it was harvested. Beeswax carries the scent of the flowers from which the bees collected pollen. Most of us enjoy the scent, but there are some people who are more sensitive to this smell. The wrap will not impact the taste of your favorite foods that are in contact with it.
WHAT SIZE IS BEST SUITED FOR MY NEEDS?
We produce several sizes of Bee's Wrap. If you are new to our product, we recommend starting with our assorted set of three sizes, which includes one of each of our small (7"x8"), medium (10"x11"), and large (13"x14") wraps. Try them out in your kitchen to determine which size is best for you.
